The Gold Coast SUNS have made one change to the AFLW team to take on Richmond for the first ever home match at Metricon Stadium. 

Inaugural signing Ellie Hampson has been called up to make her AFLW debut, replacing Lexi Hamilton in the side.

Hampson has been sidelined with an ankle injury sustained in the pre-season training period but has recovered well to take her place in the team.

“I can’t wait to get out there, I’ve been itching to since I did my ankle,” Hampson told SUNS Media.

“We’re hoping to have a massive fanbase here on the weekend.

“It’s going to be a great feeling.” 

The match kicks off at 4:10pm local time, with gates opening from 3pm.

Members and fans who are unable to get to the game can watch it LIVE on Fox Footy, Kayo or 7Mate from 4pm AEST (check your local guides).
