National draft night on Thursday was no ordinary night for the Gold Coast SUNS on social media, with midfielder Dion Prestia taking control of Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and SUNS TV.
After the GC SUNS selected power forward Peter Wright with pick 8, Prestia was quick to find similarities between Wright and the team’s bookend at the other end of the field in Rory Thompson. Both men stand over 200cm tall and are red-heads.

Fortunately for Dion, his one-on-one interview with Wright went much better.

Prestia also found time to call the SUNS’ other two draftees on the night, West Australian Jarrod Garlett and fellow Calder Cannons young gun Touk Miller.
