Gold Coast SUNS CEO Andrew Travis has welcomed the GC SUNS’ 2015 AFL Premiership Season fixture released today.
“The release of the 2015 fixture delivers significant wins to our members and fans, with Metricon Stadium set to host all of our home games next year on a Saturday,” Travis said.
“We regularly survey our members, and their feedback has been incredibly strong that they prefer to attend Saturday matches, particularly in the twilight timeslot.
“In 2015, six of our 11 home games will be twilight matches, as well as three Saturday night matches at the earlier time of 7:20pm, which was our other preferred timeslot.”
Gold Coast will once again host Collingwood at home; the equivalent match in 2014 was the Metricon Stadium’s first ever sell out with a crowd of 24,032 recorded. Matches against the Brisbane Lions, Sydney Swans and Essendon are also expected to draw strong crowds.

The Gold Coast SUNS will travel the country in 2015, with matches scheduled in Perth, Adelaide, Sydney, Melbourne, Geelong, Canberra and Launceston.
Thirteen of the club’s matches will be played in Queensland in 2015, with the GC SUNS travelling to Cairns for the fifth consecutive season for a match at Cazalys Stadium, with the Western Bulldogs hosting the game for the second year in a row.
