Gold Coast SUNS half back flanker Henry Schade has been stretchered from the field during the Gold Coast SUNS NEAFL match against the Sydney Swans at Metricon Stadium this afternoon after suffering an ankle injury late in the second quarter.

Schade was running off the ball when he collapsed to the turf in considerable discomfort with concerned team mates immediately calling for the stretcher.

The impressive Tasmanian product who was drafted by the Gold Coast SUNS with selection number 24 in the 2011 draft immediately left the grounds and is undergoing scans to determine the extent of his injury.
