The Gold Coast Football Club has surprised many within the AFL community as their on-field success continues into week two of the TAC Cup finals series.
After a nail-biting come from behind win against the Northern Knights last weekend, the GCFC are ready to face the ultimate test against the minor premiers Geelong Falcons.
The Gold Coast will be buoyed by the fact that the Falcons were upset by the Eastern Ranges to the tune of 43 points in last weekend’s qualifying final.
There were outstanding performances by unheralded forward Luke Shreeve who kicked 5 goals and a tireless midfield who kept providing the impetuous in the engine room.
The Gold Coast Football Club will be looking to replicate its hardness at the ball and never say die attitude this weekend as it tries to snare a spot in a preliminary final against the Dandenong Stingrays
The semi final will be played this Sunday at Visy Park at 2pm.
