The Gold Coast SUNS gave its support to the Gold Coast’s 2300 homeless by lending a hand this year’s Homeless Connect Day at Albert Waterways Community Centre last month.

Homeless Connect Day is organised by the Gold Coast Homelessness Network. Now in it’s third year, it’s an annual event aimed at bringing together volunteers, government and agency workers so homeless people or people living close to the poverty line can be connected to vital services.

Eight SUNS staff members were there to offer hands-on help at this year’s event. The SUNS Promotions team was also on deck with its giant inflatable field and to offer up plenty of giveaways. The club also took the opportunity to deliver twelve overflowing bins worth of donated goods collected by the families and friends of staff over preceding weeks.
