The iconic Gold Coast International Hotel is proud to “rise up” and come on board as an inaugural corporate sponsor of the Gold Coast Football Club.
General Manager, Don Goode says “the GCI team is pleased to be able to support the new Gold Coast AFL team, and is looking forward to some great football in 2011”
“The GCI Hotel, through it’s affiliation with Rydges Hotels and Resorts and Amalgamated Holdings Limited supports a number of community programs and charities, and we are excited to extend our support of the local community to this worthy endeavor” says Don.
The exciting future for AFL on the Gold Coast is paralleled with the GCI Hotel’s multimillion dollar visionary refurbishment program. Work started in May and is expected to be completed by November, encompassing the hotel’s entrance, lobby and food and beverage precinct. Fresh tones inspired by the Gold Coast beaches will be enhanced by modern digital art and an abundance of natural wood to reflect the coastal location of the property. A vibrant new bar area will be created which will provide the perfect location for a drink after the game.
