The Gold Coast SUNS will this week lend a helping hand towards the environment, in the lead up to National Tree Day which will be held on the 30th July 2010.

Planet Ark, together with assistance from Toyota national dealer network, encourages people from all age groups and communities across the country, to come together and plant trees to repair and restore Australia’s landscape.

And Gold Coast Suns players Alik Magin, Michael Coad and Ruck Coach Jeff White will assist young students from Trinity College Primary School to plant trees that have generously supplied by Grand Motors Toyota on the Gold Coast.

Gold Coast Suns Community Programs Officer Corey Bell said “ The club are excited to play their part with Grand Motors Toyota and Trinity College on this wonderful initiative. We think this sets a great example, that our players to able to assist and support students on a day that is so important to the Community”.

The Tree Planting will take place at Trinity College (Primary school) on Cotlew St Ashmore at 10.30 am on Friday.
