There are several SUNS who are in the selection mix for the Round 6 match against Sydney at Metricon Stadium on Saturday.
SUNS Senior Coach Stuart Dew flagged the potential for a number of changes to the team this week after the impressive performances of last week’s inclusions Josh Corbett and Jy Farrar.
Sean Lemmens is progressing well through the concussion protocol and is expected to be available again for selection after missing the match against the Bulldogs.
Key defender Charlie Ballard is another who is a test for the weekend and could come straight back into the side after an ankle injury held him out of the Round 5 action.
Small forward Sam Flanders has been the medical substitute for the last fortnight and could provide some energy in the forward half if called upon.
In the VFL match against Footscray on the weekend, it was Brayden Fiorini who captained the side and found plenty of the ball with 31 disposals and six tackles in the midfield. He could be a reliable option to come into the AFL team this week.
Ruckman Zac Smith is a chance to return to action in some capacity this week but SUNS GM of Football Jon Haines flagged he may need some time to build up to being AFL-ready.
Will Brodie (30 disposals) and Rory Atkins (26) also had strong games while Hewago Oea (19) and Patrick Murtagh (two goals) looked dangerous in the forward line.
