The Gold Coast SUNS Round 11, 2021 AFL Premiership Fixture against Hawthorn has been relocated to the SCG, Sydney, on Saturday, 7:40pm
Due to the current COVID outbreak in Victoria, the Northern Territory Government has closed its borders to the Greater Melbourne & Bendigo local government areas.
While we understand and respect the decision, we are disappointed we won’t be able to host our second annual, Sir Doug Nicholls Round game in Darwin.
The AFL has today advised Hawthorn they would need to fly to NSW and determined the Round 11 fixture would be played at the SCG on Saturday night.
The SUNS preparations for the match will continue and the club will remain flexible moving forwards, to ensure the 2021 Toyota AFL Premiership continues to progress.
More information for members and fans wanting to attend the game in Sydney will be communicated once finalised.
