The Gold Coast SUNS wish to advise that Andrew Boston was withdrawn from Saturday’s NEAFL game against the UWS Giants after it was determined he was not meeting the physical requirements for AFL football.

General Manager – Football Operations, Marcus Ashcroft, said Boston had not been able to remain at a standard required by the SUNS.

“We will continue to work closely with Andrew, he still has our full support and will have access to our services to be given every opportunity to get himself back to the level required to play in the AFL,” Ashcroft said.

Boston will be granted permission to play once he returns to the professional standards the club knows he is capable of.
