The logo features three key elements: the scorching Sun of the Gold Coast, blazing a trial that will lead us where we want to go; the bold “S” that represents the Suns, the community that embody the trailblazing relentlessness of our people and those who have built the coast; and a football at its heart, embodying our love for the game and commitment to excellence. Together, these elements capture who we are, where we come from, and what we strive for on and off the field.

The choice of colours - a deep red, sunburnt gold and oceanic blue, embodies strength, resilience and a willingness to break tradition, all elements of the Gold Coast SUNS’ journey. Our new deeper red speaks to the heat and fearless intensity of both our club and the Gold Coast community, while the simplicity of the design underlines our unrelenting focus on performance. The sunburnt yellow of the clash guernsey reflects the physical environment of our region. It represents the extreme force of the elements on the Gold Coast and the windswept sands of our beaches. Our refreshed blue, also prominent on the clash guernsey, is true to the deep tones of the Pacific Ocean which defines our coastline. It speaks to the depth and serious ambitions of our football club and the endless and unexplored opportunities that lie ahead. These colours have been a constant in the club’s history, but the powerful tones reflect how the club has stood the test of time, growing stronger and more resilient.

Welcome to a new era of the Gold Coast SUNS. Once a young and emerging force in the AFL, we have evolved into a firmly established club whose relative youth is a strength. We were born out of a challenge - building an AFL club in a region not traditionally associated with footy. 14 seasons later, the time is now for us to redefine our identity to reflect what we stand for as an organisation.
