Three SUNS have registered NEAFL MVP votes after the tight loss to Canberra on the weekend at UNSW Canberra Oval.
Will Brodie, Josh Schoenfeld and Josh Jaska recorded three, two and one votes respectively after impressing both coaches and umpires with their performances.
Brodie was Gold Coast’s highest disposal-getter picking up 34 touches along with six tackles and seven clearances.
Schoenfeld also found plenty of the footy, recording 29 disposals, six marks and six tackles.
Jaska was solid in defence with 15 touches and an impressive game-high seven rebound 50’s.
Canberra’s Mitch Hardie was recognised as best on ground after polling a perfect ten votes.
The NEAFL MVP Award is presented to the player uniquely judged the best in the competition by a combination of umpire and coaches votes.
The votes are submitted post-game cast on a 5-4-3-2-1 basis. As such, the maximum amount of votes a single player can earn per match is 10 – courtesy of the maximum five votes from both umpires and coaches.
