A ruck masterclass from Jarrod Witts didn’t miss the eye of the coaches with the experienced tall securing a perfect 10 in the Round 1 coaches votes.

Off the back of a mammoth 68 hitouts, Witts was one of six SUNS to poll votes in the record-breaking win against the Eagles.

Captain Noah Anderson (eight votes), Matt Rowell (five votes) and Touk Miller (four votes) all starred in a midfield that dominated for four quarters.

Ben King’s six-goal outing snared him a pair of votes while Bailey Humphrey’s third season in the competition started on the front foot with the 20-year-old securing a single vote.

Witts was one of five players across the AFL to score perfect 10s in Round 1.
