The Gold Coast SUNS are excited to announce a significant partnership with local Gold Coast company Knotwood as the club’s top-back of guernsey partner.
Knotwood will be known as the Official Sustainability Building Product Partner of the Gold Coast SUNS and becomes the first organisation to be featured on the top-back of the GC SUNS playing guernsey.
Knotwood was founded by the Galway family over a decade ago. It is now owned by Darren and his son Brendan Galway, alongside business partner Michael Saba, previously a co-founder of Swisse Wellness.
GC SUNS Chief Executive Mark Evans said the partnership would serve to achieve mutually beneficial outcomes for both parties and the community.
“We are incredibly excited to welcome Knotwood into the SUNS family as our first ever top-back of guernsey partner,” Evans said.
“The Knotwood team have done a fantastic job to position the company as one of the leaders in sustainability and innovation, which is something that appealed to us as a club.
“It’s fantastic to have the support of local Gold Coast businesses like Knotwood and we can’t wait to play a part in helping them achieve their business objectives, especially Knotwood’s passion to give back to the community as the group works closely with various charities.”
Michael Saba said Knotwood is committed to building the happiest culture and giving back.
“Producing stunning aluminium is our passion. Our greatest joy though, is the positive impact we can have on our planet and community,” Saba said.
Knotwood designs and produces stunning aluminium systems that look like real wood.
Made on the Gold Coast, the combination of local production with sustainable manufacturing methods creates a high-quality product that is low maintenance, longer lasting and easier to use than real wood.
Knotwood’s modular systems are versatile and can be used for facades, cladding, pergolas, fencing, gates, screens, garage doors - the possibilities are endless.
Knotwood CEO Leo Santini said he was excited for the opportunities ahead by partnering with the SUNS.
“We're very pleased to become an official partner of the SUNS,” Santini said.
“Seeing that both organisations were established on the Gold Coast in 2009, it makes the partnership even more fitting.
“Our products are designed and manufactured with sustainability in mind and we hope to see members and fans of the SUNS support Knotwood in the future.”
Knotwood branding will have placement across the GC SUNS playing and training guernsey, while the club will also utilise digital, broadcast and business network channels to grow and promote the Knotwood brand.
