The Gold Coast SUNS will play Port Adelaide in an AFL pre-season practice match on Friday February 25.
The match will be open to SUNS Members and Fans with all ticketing information to be finalised and communicated in the lead up to the game taking place at Metricon Stadium from 2:00pm.
It will be the first chance for SUNS members and fans to see the team in action live as preparations for the 2022 Toyota AFL Premiership Season continue.
Kayo Sports will also exclusively stream all 2022 Pre-Season Practice Matches which have been scheduled by the AFL.
These match-ups will see teams decide on the format of each game, including number of players, number of quarters and quarter lengths.
AFL Head of Broadcasting and Scheduling Marcus King said these practice matches play an important role for both AFL Clubs and supporters.
“We’re pleased to partner with Kayo which will see all pre-season practice matches streamed live in 2022,” Mr King said.
“Our two objectives for pre-season practice matches are to give clubs the best opportunity to prepare ahead of the AAMI Community Series and to take matches to supporters in local and regional communities where possible.”
The AAMI Community Series will commence the week following and will be broadcast on Fox Footy. The format and game length for these matches will be as per those in place for the 2022 Toyota AFL Premiership Season.
