Three changes have been made to Cameron Joyce’s squad for Saturday’s enticing QClash against the Brisbane Lions at the Gabba.
The SUNS head north on Saturday seeking to record back-to-back victories on the back of a 34-point victory against West Coast last Sunday.
The experienced Ellie Hampson will be welcomed back into the team after missing Round 2, as will the versatile Shannon Danckert while Lucy Single earns her first selection of Season Seven.
As confirmed earlier this week, Jamie Stanton will be sidelined for the remainder of the season following an ACL rupture and Kalinda Howarth is unavailable after sustaining a training injury this week. Young Tasmanian Claire Ransom has also been omitted.
Round 2 NAB Rising Star nominee Daisy D’Arcy features in a backline with a stern task on their hand to halt the league’s highest-scoring team, while at the other end Courtney Jones will be looking to keep a strong start to her SUNS career rolling following two goals on club debut last time out.
The SUNS will be wearing its Indigenous Guernsey, created by local Bundalung-Yugambeh artist Christine Slabb, for the fixture as part of AFLW Indigenous Round.
SUNS members will be able to simply scan into the Gabba using their digital membership card through the official GC SUNS App.
