There’s an update on several SUNS AFLW players in this week’s Qscan Injury Update.
Versatile defender Gabrielle Biedenweg-Webster will be sidelined after sustaining a knee injury during her AFLW debut in Mackay with an expected return date to be confirmed.
“Gabby suffered a tibial plateau fracture in the Round 5 game against St Kilda in Mackay. She will be unavailable in the short-term and we will make a decision on a return to play date at a later time,” GC SUNS AFLW physiotherapist Indianna Franke told the Qscan Injury Update.
There’s also an update on two-time defending Players’ Player Daisy D’Arcy.
“Daisy suffered a sprained ankle during the first quarter of Sunday’s gamae against Port Adelaide. She played out the remainder of the game and we’ll monitor her condition ahead of this weekend,” Franke continued.
After overcoming a knee complaint sustained at training earlier in the season, Northern Territory product Ashanti Bush has now been removed from the injury list.
