We are deeply saddened to learn of the passing of Matthew Schneider, Chairman of Southport Sharks Football Club and prominent member of the Gold Coast Community after a brave battle with cancer.
On behalf of everyone at the Gold Coast SUNS, we wish to pass on our heartfelt condolences to his wife, Samantha, three children and extended family, along with the wider Sharks community.
Matt was a highly respected town planning consultant and Director at Urbis, an advocate for all things Gold Coast and strong supporter of not only AFL in Queensland, but the Gold Coast SUNS.
His contribution to our city could never be put into words and will not be forgotten. He had a strong and proud vision for Southport Sharks and was regarded in the highest esteem by all those that he met.
