The Gold Coast SUNS has made four changes to its team to take on Melbourne at Heritage Bank Stadium for Saturday’s Round to RizeUp.
Coming into the line-up for his club debut is Tom Berry, who has impressed at VFL level for a number of weeks.
He’s joined by Sam Flanders, who returned last week from a knee injury in the VFL, last week’s substitute Malcolm Rosas Jnr, and Levi Casboult who was rested last week, as inclusions to the team.
Coming out of the team are Alex Sexton, Nick Holman, Ben Ainsworth and Lachie Weller.
Sexton has been omitted, while Holman, Ainsworth and Weller haven’t passed fitness tests in order to be cleared to play.
Holman is tending to a foot complaint and Ainsworth a corked quad, while Weller will miss this week with a minor knee injury.
More information on the trio will be available in the Qscan Injury Update next week.
Saturday’s game marks the third annual Round to RizeUp in which the SUNS will join forces alongside Major Charity Partner RizeUp to raise funds and awareness for families afflicted by domestic and family violence.
The SUNS will wear special Round to RizeUp guernseys with the playing group leading donations with a $5,000 contribution to RizeUp. The guernseys will be auctioned following the match with further opportunities for SUNS members and supporters to donate on match day.
First bounce at Heritage Bank Stadium is at 4.35pm with a top-of-the-table VFL clash against Casey Demons as the curtain raiser from 12.05pm. Tickets are available through Ticketek.
That match will be broadcast live on Fox Footy, Kayo and the Seven network (check your local guide).
