Gold Coast SUNS defender Sean Lemmens is set for a stint on the sidelines after injuring his hamstring in the QClash on the weekend.
Lemmens left the field in the fourth quarter after a defensive chase close to goal and wasn’t able to return to the match.
“Sean has undergone further assessment this week which has revealed a moderate injury to his hamstring,” GC SUNS Head Physiotherapist Lindsay Bull told the Qscan Injury Update.
“We estimate he will miss four weeks of football to rehabilitate his injury.”
Connor Budarick is progressing well in his ACL rehab and is now three to four weeks away from a return to play.
“Connor has integrated back into training and we expect him to be available in the weeks after the bye,” Bull said.
“He still has a few markers to tick off, but he’s been really diligent with his rehab and we’re excited to see Connor back out there soon.”
Lachie Weller continues to manage a minor knee injury and needs to progress to full training before he is considered for selection.
In good news, Connor Blakely will return from a calf injury which has held him out of VFL action in recent weeks.
