The Gold Coast SUNS have finished the VFL home and away season as likely minor premiers, smashing a stunned Blues line-up by 128-points.

The SUNS led from start to finish in a dominant 149 to 21 display which saw them boot a whopping 23 goals, whilst limiting Carlton to just two goals and only one major after quarter-time.

Ned Moyle gave the SUNS on-ballers first access in a prolific ruck display finishing with a game high 48 hitouts and 17 disposals which will further his case for consecutive ‘VFL Ruckman of the Year’ honours.

Charlie Constable continued to find the sherrin finishing with 37 disposals as did mid-season recruit, Oskar Faulkhead (28 disposals and two goals).

Alex Davies was prolific when the game was in the balance with 20 disposals and a mammoth 11 clearances in the first half alone, finishing the game with 29 disposals and 13 clearances.

The battle for the Jim ‘Frosty’ Miller Medal as VFL season leading goalkicker was a brilliant subplot with a sea of goals.

Chris Burgess (eight goals) did enough to catch but not to pass teammate Brodie Mclaughlin (five goals) with the pair finishing the season on 51 goals apiece and sharing leading goalkicking honours, meaning consecutive Frosty Miller medals for Burgess.

Sam Day came back into the line-up and booted three of his own whilst Hewago Oea, Elijah Hollands and Will Graham kicked a major each.

James Tsitas continued to impress after a stint in the AFL last week amassing 28 disposals and a goal.

Academy product, Campbell Lake impressed with 14-disposals and an equal game high seven inside-50s.
