Versatile defender Daisy D’Arcy has earned her second career top-three finish at the Gold Coast SUNS AFLW Club Champion.
No SUNS defender averaged more disposals than the 20-year-old (15.5 per game) who sat comfortably inside the league’s Top 10 for Rebound 50s (4.5 per game, 7th in the AFLW).
D’Arcy was a composed figure in defence for the SUNS throughout 2023, regularly showing poise and precision under pressure. She featured in all 11 games for the SUNS and also kicked a long-awaited first goal in Round 10.
It’s D’Arcy’s joint-best finish at a Club Champion having also finished third in her debut season in 2021.
She was also named in the AFLPA 22Under22 Team as the most selected defender in the competition and earned a place in the All-Australian squad for the first time.
