Former Melbourne Renegades cricketer Zak Evans has been named for his first taste of action in SUNS colours this Saturday in the VFL QClash against the Brisbane Lions.
The club announced earlier this week it had lodged paperwork for Evans to join the club as a Category B Rookie ahead of the 2025 AFL season.
Evans is one of six inclusions for Saturday’s crucial clash with the Lions as the SUNS eye a return to the VFL Top 8.
AFL-listed players Jy Farrar, Connor Budarick, Alex Sexton and Jed Walter have all been named in Tate Kaesler’s side, as has Larke Medal winner Leo Lombard.
First bounce is at 12:50pm with early gates (Gate 3) open from 12:30pm.
