Club Champion Charlie Rowbottom is in contention for a second consecutive AFLW All-Australian selection after being named in the extended 44-player squad on Tuesday afternoon.
Rowbottom polished off a stellar season on the weekend, named as the Club Champion for a second time in her young career.
In 2024, she broke the record for the most clearances recorded in an AFLW home-and-away season (84), also leading the league for contested possessions (195, 17.7 avg). She averaged career-high tallies in disposals (27.8 avg) and marks (3.9 avg) whilst also recording a personal best 42 disposals and breaking the AFLW record for most contested possessions in a single AFLW game in Round 3 (26).
In 2023, she secured a maiden All-Australian team berth, named on the interchange. It is the third consecutive season in just a four-year career that the 21-year-old has been named in the extended squad.
The final team of 21, which includes a captain and a vice-captain and selected as if playing in a match, will be announced on Monday, November 25 at the W Awards.
