The 2015 NEAFL fixture has been announced and for the first time in the competition’s brief history, every team will play against each other at least once.
Next season’s edition of the NEAFL will be comprised of 11 teams from the Gold Coast, Brisbane, Darwin, Sydney and Canberra.
The Gold Coast SUNS reserves will launch their season against the UWS Giants at Henson Park in Sydney on April 11.
On Anzac Day, the SUNS will face the Sydney Swans reserves in Mackay as part of the NEAFL’s regional fixtures.
Six curtain-raisers to the senior side have been scheduled at Metricon Stadium at this stage of proceedings, with the NEAFL not ruling out more curtain-raisers when venues are confirmed closer to the start of the season.
The SUNS reserves will play curtain-raisers against the Brisbane Lions (round 4), Southport (round 5), Sydney Swans (round 9), UWS Giants (round 15), NT Thunder (round 17) and Eastlake (round 20).
The 2015 NEAFL Finals campaign beings on the weekend of September 5/6 with the Grand Final to be played a fortnight later on September 19/20.
