Gold Coast recorded their third victory in a row on Sunday, however it wasn’t all smooth sailing for the SUNS as they needed a last-minute goal to down Carlton.
The SUNS’ selection committee has shown a willingness to stick with a winning squad so far this season, with the only changes being injury-enforced.
That could be the case once again, with young midfielder Wil Powell suffering a nasty head knock against the Blues and continuing to be monitored.
George Horlin-Smith has recovered from a back injury and could slot straight in to Powell’s position on the wing, while Will Brodie is another midfield option.
The SUNS were unable to fully capitalise on their first half dominance of clearances and inside 50s so could opt for forward line changes.
That would bring the likes of Sam Day, Ben King and Josh Corbett into the frame.
Corbett made a successful return from injury via the NEAFL on Sunday, presenting well and kicking three goals.
Aaron Young and Callum Ah Chee have been part of Gold Coast’s best 22 in previous seasons and will be keen to reclaim their spots in the side.
Both players would add flexibility to the squad with the ability to play multiple positions.
Who do you think should be in the mix for Round 5?
