Gold Coast’s May 19 game at Shanghai’s Jiangwan Stadium will form the centrepiece of the five-day event, which includes a range of activities including a cocktail evening celebrating Gold Coast’s tourism and education sector and a match-day function with key government and business identities.
The event is open to any prospective business owners looking to grow and engage their business in China and associated stakeholder networks, with packages starting at $3990 per person plus flights.
SUNS CEO Mark Evans said the event this year presented an opportunity to showcase the Gold Coast, with the venue being transformed into a GC hub over the five days.
“Last time we joined into most of the AFL activities and this year we decided to very much stand alone and promote Queensland and particularly the Gold Coast,” Evans told the Gold Coast Bulletin.
“All of our events are tied in with tourism, education and industry and running our own delegation means that we’ll take over a part of Shanghai and `Gold Coast-
