Gold Coast will be forced into at least one change for this Sunday’s game against Melbourne at the MCG.

However the SUNS’ match committee could also look to make further changes after the disappointing loss to Carlton last week.

Steven May will miss the Dees’ clash due to suspension, while midfielder David Swallow’s spot in doubt after suffering a concussion during last week’s game. 

If the coaching staff opt to go with a like-for-like replacement for May, then Jack Leslie and Max Spencer will be considered.

Midfielders Michael Barlow and Josh Schoenfeld were impressive in the NEAFL side’s narrow loss against the Lions, potentially putting them in the frame for senior selection.

Rookie Jacob Dawson has been a consistent performer in the NEAFL and could be a chance to add to his two career games. 

Ben Ainsworth and Pearce Hanley also put in strong bids to return to the AFL with classy performances.

Utility Callum Ah Chee missed last week’s game due to illness but could be ready to return against the Dees.
