SUNS midfielder Michael Barlow once again displayed his experience in Saturday’s loss to NT Thunder, polling highly in the NEAFL MVP Award.
Barlow picked up eight votes for his 46 disposals, nine clearances and seven inside 50s, putting his hand up for potential AFL selection following the bye round.
Kade Kolodjashnij was also among the best, securing himself three votes along with his 37 disposals.
Whilst no player managed to take out the maximum amount of votes from the match, Thunder player Abraham Ankers polled the most with nine to his name.
The NEAFL MVP Award is presented to the player uniquely judged the best in the competition by a combination of umpire and coaches votes.
The votes are submitted post-game cast on a 5-4-3-2-1 basis. As such, the maximum amount of votes a single player can earn per match is 10 – courtesy of the maximum five votes from both umpires and coaches.
