It was a tough night for the Gold Coast SUNS at Adelaide Oval on Saturday, but Peter Wright gave fans something to be excited about in the future.

Being the focal point up forward as well as playing through the ruck, Wright kicked two goals to go with 19 disposals, gathering 102 AFL Fantasy points – his highest score for 2017.

Heading into 2018, look for Wright to continue to develop as he enters his fourth AFL season on the Gold Coast.

He looms as a potential point of difference next season and is a good chance to gain dual position status (Fwd/Ruck), making him an attractive proposition in the future.

Wright is definitely a player to watch over the pre-season for 2018.

Jarrod Harbrow finished his 2017 with another solid score of 95, his sixth score over 90 for the year.

Across the season, he averaged 82.5, which is the second highest scoring year of his career - 2010 being the highest.

He has had a pretty solid season and has been a good purchase for coaches who picked him up early in the year.

Captain Steven May finished the year in great fashion, with 91 points from 21 possessions and 11 marks across a backline that continued to be tested all night.

Across his last three games alone, May is averaging 86.3 points a game and his value rose $15,000 at the conclusion of round 23.

Youngster Will Brodie gave fans a glimpse of what to expect in the future with 89 points on the back of 23 possessions and six tackles against Port Adelaide.

This was Brodie’s highest score in his short career and SUNS fans are no doubt excited to see what he can produce in 2018 and beyond.
