The Gold Coast SUNS reserves will be looking to continue on their winning ways when they take on the Southport Sharks at Metricon Stadium on Saturday morning.

Coming off a 12-point win over Canberra, the reserves side will be boosted by the inclusion of four-listed players in Luke Russell, Jarrad Grant, Jesse Lonergan and Mitch Hallahan.

Grant and Hallahan played in last week’s AFL loss to Hawthorn but will line up in the twos this week after being omitted from Rodney Eade’s senior team.

Southport currently sit in fifth position on the ladder with a 6-5 record and percentage of 116.69, coming off a ten goal win over Redland last week. The last time these two sides met was in a pre-season practice match with the Sharks overrunning the SUNS to run out 17 point winners.
