Gold Coast SUNS full back Steven May has claimed a round 23 AFL Mark of the Year nomination for his late third quarter grab against Port Adelaide.
Port’s Matthew Broadbent booted the Sherrin forward to a one-on-one contest in which May was caught behind.
Rather than opting to spoil, the SUNS vice-captain showed his athleticism, launching himself at the football to take a strong mark over Karl Amon.
To win Mark of the Year, May needs the support from the fans with public voting to determine the weekly winner.
