Midfielders Touk Miller and Matt Rosa are both a chance to return against Carlton at Metricon Stadium this Saturday night if they can get through training this week.
Miller missed the win over Fremantle with a minor ankle sprain, while Rosa had a corked calf that kept the former Eagle from returning to Perth.
“Both missed our senior team’s great performance last Saturday night so they’ll need to train Tuesday and also Thursday to get through and prove their fitness,” GM Football Operations, Marcus Ashcroft, told the Optomo Injury Report.
“We’re hoping after a week’s rest they won’t be too far away.”
Pleasingly, there were no major injuries to come from the weekend with young forward Jarrod Garlett the only casualty.
The West Australian aggravated an existing shoulder complaint but remains a chance to play this weekend.
“We’ve been lucky. We always know once you start playing some footy that there may be some high impact injuries,” Ashcroft said.
“Jarrod Garlett has aggravated his shoulder again. He’ll need to train today and also on Thursday with the hope of playing this weekend.”
