On Tuesday the Gold Coast SUNS congratulated four Gold Coast based 2018 Commonwealth Games medalists for their remarkable efforts during the Games, and welcomed them into the club with a 2018 Gold Coast SUNS membership.

Athletes Matt Hauser (Gold Medal Triathlon Relay), Nic Beveridge (Silver Medal Paratriathlon), Alex Graham & Elijah Winnington (Gold Medal 4x200m Swimming Relay) will now have the opportunity to support the SUNS when they return to Metricon Stadium on June 2 against Geelong, and into a blockbuster second half of the season.

SUNS Player Tom Nicholls was on hand at the Bond University Sports Centre to present the Commonwealth Games medalists and pass on a message of thanks and congratulations on behalf of the club.

“We had people from all over the world fall in love with our city, our athletes & their performances during the 2018 Commonwealth Games, hopefully this will help a few of the athletes to fall in love with our game” Nicholls told goldcoastfc.com.au.

“We want to have Metricon Stadium pumping when footy returns to the Gold Coast on June 2, hopefully these guys all bring their friends and family along”

The Gold Coast SUNS will gift all Gold Coast based 2018 Commonwealth Games medalists athletes with a 2018 Membership to ensure they able to attend a blockbuster series of matches at Metricon Stadium in the second half of the year.
