Pre-season so far
The most promising thing for the SUNS to date is the number of players they have completing pre-season.
After being wiped out by injuries in 2015, almost the full squad is back on deck in some capacity.
New fitness boss Justin Cordy has individualised the programs and so far, so good.
Alex Sexton and Brandon Matera have been standouts so far, with Matera noticeably fitter than in previous years.
Gold Coast has also ramped up its goalkicking drills under fatigue, with missed shots resulting in more running.
Injury room
After a devastating season with injuries, the SUNS have quickly got back on top of things.
Gary Ablett (knee) is back in full training, while Dion Prestia (knee) is not far behind.
Fellow midfielders David Swallow and Jaeger O'Meara (also knee injuries) have begun running on the anti-gravity treadmill and will progress early in the new year.
