Gold Coast SUNS Talent Academy players Kalinda Howarth and Arianna Clarke and North Queensland’s Lauren Bella have been named in the 2017 NAB AFL Women’s Under 18 All Australian Team.
The trio impressed at the National Under 18 Championships while representing Queensland.
Howarth and Clarke, both 18 years of age, are members of the Gold Coast based Talent Academy and play for the Coolangatta Bluebirds in the QWAFL.
Howarth, a speedy and skilful goal kicker, was named in the All Australian team on the Half Forward Flank, with Clarke securing a spot on the Interchange Bench.
Bella, from Mackay in North Queensland, dominated in the Ruck for Queensland as a bottom age 17-year-old during the championships and secured her spot in the team alongside Clarke on the Interchange Bench.
Bella will be eligible to play in the NAB Under 18 Championships again in 2018, while Howarth and Clarke will both likely find themselves homes at an AFLW club next season.
