The Gold Coast SUNS players, staff and mascot SUNNY RAY, today took part in the first ever Youth Homeless Golf Day at Royal Pines.

Close to 50 Participants from the Gold Coast SUNS nominated charities Gold Coast Youth Service, Project for Homeless Youth and YHES house took part in the day, in ideal sunny conditions at RACV Royal Pines Golf Course.

In what is to likely to an annual event before Easter each year, players Jaegar O'Meara, Jared Brennan, Alex Sexton, Tom Hickey, Taylor Hine, Lewis Moss and eight of the Gold Coast SUNS staff took part in golf lessons with the Youth before a BBQ lunch and 3 holes of golf to finish.

And with all the tips by the Professionals that were on hand it looks like not only did all participants have a great time, but everyone found some improvement.

The Gold Coast SUNS are committed to the Youth Homeless charity area as one of the three charity areas it supports through its work in the Community.

The Club will continue to work with its three nominated charities in this area of Youth Homelessness during the year on various programs and activities including the annual Face your Fears day which is coming up soon in July.
