Gold Coast SUNS defender Steven May has dismissed suggestions his side struggles at Melbourne's Etihad Stadium.
It's hardly a hoodoo, yet, but the club is still yet to post its first win at Docklands.
The GC SUNS face an in-form North Melbourne outfit which plays its best footy at the indoor venue, but May said his team's past record will count for little on Sunday.
"Our record at Etihad is really irrelevant; most teams and football people know we are a completely different team now to when we played there previously," May said.
"We've played six games there and only twice last year, one of which was when we competed really well against Essendon, despite losing Lynchy (Tom Lynch) and Rischa (Michael Rischitelli) with injuries before half time."
May said the SUNS would head to Melbourne full of confidence and the potential inclusions of Tom Nicholls, Charlie Dixon and Harley Bennell will be a bonus.
"We have a great opportunity to take on North Melbourne and we might even have a few players returning from injuries, so we will be going down to have a red hot crack.
"They had a great win over Fremantle in Perth on Friday night, and have been playing really well lately, so we know it won't be easy.
May and his teammates will fly to Melbourne on Saturday for the Sunday afternoon encounter.
