After a week to recharge the SUNS now face one of the hardest road trips in the AFL, heading to Aurora Stadium in Tasmania to take on the reigning premier Hawthorn.
The team will be bolstered by the likely inclusion of Adam Saad, currently ranked first in the AFL for running bounces, who will be available for selection after being ruled out by a hamstring injury in recent weeks.
Ruckman Dan Currie is also expected to be given the all clear by medical staff, which means the Match Committee may have a selection dilemma on their hands after Tom Nicholls lifted his game before the bye.
Much was said about Aaron Hall’s omission from the round 12 side which lost to Richmond, but after refining his skills in the NEAFL he’s almost a certainty to be back in Rodney Eade’s best 22. The Tasmanian collected 30 disposals in the reserves along with eight tackles, nine clearances and seven inside 50s.
Mitch Hallahan (26 disposals, 10 clearances), Keegan Brooksby (16 disposals, 48 hitouts), Jarrad Grant (16 disposals, one goal) and Matt Shaw will also likely come under consideration for Sunday’s clash against the Hawks.
