Despite a host of injuries restricting Guy McKenna to just one rotation on the interchange bench, the Gold Coast SUNS managed to shake off a spirited charge from the Melbourne Demons to secure a hard fought 13-point victory at Metricon Stadium on Saturday night. 

It was an action packed Round of AFL footy.

Jarryd Roughead’s five goals led Hawthorn to their 16^th Premiership victory over St. Kilda, while Richmond locked in its first finals appearance in twelve years with a 23-point win over Brisbane. 

Geelong got home against Port Adelaide, the Western Bulldogs caused an upset against Carlton and Collingwood bruised the Swannies hopes of a top-four finish with a clinical 29-point victory at ANZ Stadium.
