2010 has just begun and already the Gold Coast Football Club has sold over a thousand membership packs for the season ahead.
Despite the Gold Coast not hosting any AFL games this year, members will automatically receive priority pick of the 2011 membership packages as well as have access to the best membership seats in the brand new Gold Coast Stadium prior to general seating.
Club chief executive Travis Auld has stressed the importance of recruiting members and is encouraging locals to throw their support behind the club, similar to that received during the bid process.
"What we need now is to really get the community to demonstrate their support again by becoming members," said Auld.
"We have signed 1000 members already but we need to get that figure closer up to 10,000.”
Auld said the club would be aggressive when it comes to recruiting players and vowed members would be repaid with some good signings.
2010 Gold Coast Football Club membership packs also includes a cap, card, bumper sticker, exclusive member emails plus a Southport Sharks Membership.
