The biggest AFL crowd for two years celebrated the final AFL game at Carrara on Saturday night when the Adelaide Crows defeated Richmond.
More than 11,100 AFL fans packed into Gold Coast Stadium to experience AFL live before the new stadium is developed for the 2011 season when the Gold Coast Football Club joins the AFL. The Gold Coast Football Club will continue to play its home games at the Stadium until the end of August when construction is expected to commence. Fans are welcome to attend with free admission. Check the website for the game schedule.

AFL crowds and corporate support have grown rapidly over the past two years as momentum built around the GC 17 licence bid and now toward the team’s entry into the AFL. The Club will soon release details of an exciting program of activities and events as we build our community activity through 2010. Form everyone at the Gold Coast Football Club we would like to say: “Thank you Gold Coast!”
