The Gold Coast SUNS have secured a trade with Carlton which will see foundation signing Charlotte Hammans depart the club.
The trade sees Gold Coast receive pick 56 in exchange for Hammans in the 2020 NAB AFLW Draft.
Hammans did not get an opportunity to play at AFLW level for the SUNS last season but Head of Women’s Football Fiona McLarty thanked her for her contributions to the club.
“Charlotte is a SUNS Academy product and was one of our inaugural signings in our first season,” McLarty said.
“We bid Charlotte good luck at her new club and hope to see her at AFLW level soon.
“The trade allows us to strengthen our draft hand which we are confident we can use to bring in more high-quality talent at the 2020 NAB AFLW Draft."
