On the back of his best performance of the season, Noah Anderson is rip-roaring and ready to take on the Brisbane Lions in his first QClash.
The rising midfielder continued his outstanding debut season against North Melbourne last Sunday, and plans to put his best foot forward at the Gabba on Wednesday September 9.
Anderson told SUNS Media he was pleased with his performance this season and was enjoying his new inside midfield role.
“It’s been exciting,” the 19-year-old said.
“I was happy about my performance against North Melbourne. I was consistent throughout the four quarters and it was nice to get a goal.
“(The move to inside midfield) has been good. The boys, like Touk Miller, Hugh Greenwood and David Swallow accepted me straight away and have been awesome.”
The Rising Star nominee has committed his future to the Gold Coast SUNS, recently signing a two-year contract extension to at least the end of 2023.
He was judged second-best behind Ben Ainsworth in the AFL Coaches’ Association votes this week, receiving seven votes for his efforts which included 23 disposals, five clearances and a goal.
After a slew of short turnarounds between games, Anderson said a 63-point victory over the Kangaroos was a great foundation for a productive 10-day break.
