On the first night of winter, hundreds of Gold Coasters are expected to brave the elements and slip into a sleeping bag at Metricon Stadium as the Gold Coast SUNS host the inaugural Homeless Sleep-Out.

Footy fans won’t miss a second of the on field action with the Gold Coast SUNS Round 10 match against Geelong being displayed on the Southern Plaza big screen.

The night is open to the entire Gold Coast Community and will help to raise funds and  awareness around the issue of Youth Homelessness, one of three key areas of support the GC SUNS provide through the Club’s Horizon program.

Gold Coast SUNS players Campbell Brown and Tom Murphy shown their support for the event, donating a golf experience for two lucky fans which includes with 18 holes of golf with Brown and Murphy at the spectacular Palm Meadows Golf Course.

There will also be an auction with a signed framed jumper, raffles and a silent auction with a twist, which will include some comforts of home including a fully made bed, hot water bottles and special rubber matting to make the experience more enjoyable.

Entry is free (gold coin donations accepted on entry) and there will be a Soup Kitchen operating at the conclusion of the game for patrons staying on for night to sleep out.

All proceeds from experiences and from the night will go to the Gold Coast SUNS three nominated Youth Homeless charities the Gold Coast Youth Service, Project for Homeless Youth and the YHES House.
