The fourth annual White Christmas Charity Event is fast approaching, with just two more sleeps before Movie World once again transforms it’s theme park into a winter wonderland.

In what has become one of the most talked-about events on the Gold Coast community calendar, more than 3,000 of the city’s needed people will converge to the tourist goldmine for a night of Christmas fun, with many of the guests at risk of homelessness.

While Movie World’s most famous rides will be operating throughout the evening, the multi-coloured Christmas light show is expected to steal the show, with the performance said to be the largest light show in the country.

With the night a usual favourite amongst the players, the entire playing list as well as the Gold Coast SUNS administration team will be in attendance.

GC SUNS Community Programs Manager – Corey Bell, told goldcoastfc.com.au excited around the Club had already started to build in the lead up to the White Christmas Charity Event.

“To play a part at the biggest Christmas charity event on the Gold Coast is something the players and staff are extremely proud of,” he said.

“To able to be provide over 3,500 of the neediest Gold Coasters a special night with the player’s is something quite unique and something the players really look forward too.”

Surpassing the $60,000 target for consecutive years, the Gold Coast Community Fund is aiming to break the $100,000 milestone before the month deadline.

“It great to see that over $60,000 so far has been raised over the past few weeks to go back to the Gold Coast Community Fund and our 10 charities we support and we hope this continues to grow over the coming weeks”
