SUNS defender Jade Pregelj has been named in the backline of the AFLW Team of the Week after an admirable performance in the QClash.
Pregelj, who was also voted the Tribal SV Performance Player of the Round, had a game-high 395 metres gained against Brisbane and played 100% game-time in challenging conditions.
The 29-year-old also had a game-high 14 intercepts and received a vote in the QClash medal judging for her efforts.
Meanwhile Lauren Bella has received a vote in the AFL Coaches Association AFLW Champion of the Year Award.
Bella won the ruck battle with 20 hitouts and had two inside 50’s for the day.
The AFL Coaches Association AFLW Champion Player of the Year is an award voted by the AFLW senior coaches on a 5,4,3,2,1 basis after each home and away game, acknowledging outstanding effort to an individual player in a season.
