Voting is now open for the Tribal Performance Player of the Round following Sunday’s comeback victory over West Coast at Whitten Oval.
In just her second AFLW game, 18-year-old Charlie Rowbottom was a force to be reckoned with, accruing game-high tallies in tackles (12), goal assists (two), Inside 50s (six) and contested possessions (12).
Another player in just her second game was Tara Bohanna who kicked a game-high three goals, including two crucial majors in the final term.
Livewire Kate Surman was amongst all the action, kicking two goals herself from 14 touches, including the goal that saw the SUNS hit the front with just over five minutes remaining in the final quarter.
Jamie Stanton’s pressure was immense throughout the contest. She finished with 10 tackles while Ellie Hampson was at her best around the contest, leading the SUNS with three clearances to go with five intercepts and three Inside 50s.
Jade Pregelj was immense in defence, leading the game with six intercepts along with five contested possessions and 10 disposals.
