The SUNS’ match committee will be deliberating long and hard this week about how to get the best response from the playing group following the loss to Geelong.

There are several contenders putting their hand up to face the GWS Giants at Spotless Stadium this Saturday. 

Not only did Michael Barlow gather 42 touches in the NEAFL, he polled a perfect ten votes in the MVP and continues to press for selection. 

Rookie Brayden Crossley is also knocking on the door to re-enter the AFL side, kicking five goals in his return to the NEAFL side.

With Steven May out due to injury, Jack Leslie could also come back to fill a key defensive post. 

Sean Lemmens and Peter Wright continue to build match fitness after returning from injury and could come under consideration.

After being omitted last week, midfielder Jarryd Lyons will be keen to work his way back into the senior team to face the Giants.
